PiB's DIRECTOR

David's specialised coaching approach brings the human dimension to corporations, organisations, SMEs and small businesses across Australia, the Asia-Pacific region, the USA and UK. Teacher, mentor, life and business coach, David brings first-hand experience with both the best and worst our organisations have to offer. His challenge is to draw out the human potential for rich conversations with life, and his approach is pragmatic.

In business circles, people don't talk about 'state of mind'. It's too soft a subject. It's much easier to engage in Strategic Planning, Change Management, or any one of the more traditional business improvement scenarios. But state of mind is at the heart of not only what we do in life, but how we do it. When he talks about state of mind, he is identifying the very thing that determines how successful we are, how successful our businesses are, how our entire lives and relationships (business or otherwise) play out. Full stop.

All clients want professional excellence - that is a given. But that is only an incomplete part of the jigsaw. So here's what he tells them:

"In the natural pursuit of career, reward and professional standing, remember that your professional objectives are absolutely aligned to (and inseparable from) the quality of your deepest personal relationships with partners, wives, children, friends...."

David's early teaching, coaching and personal counselling background spans academia, NGO and private organisations, including the Justice Department.

He launched Principles in Business officially in January 2008 after a successful two years at the helm of Dimension 4 Consulting. As many clients will know, D4 itself transitioned from The Philosophy of Living Centre (formerly known as Psychology of Mind Resource Centre), where in the mid 90s, alongside Founder and Executive Director John Wood he first took the 3 Principles coaching and training approach to the corporate sector. In late 2005, John moved on to other commitments and still contributes through his life and writings to the 3 Principles understanding.

For David, PiB is very much business as usual: coaching and training from the 3Ps perspective - an approach that delivers long-term, sustainable, personally satisfying and profitable enterprises. David’s life experience, relational style and genuine service ethic is much sought after. He currently divides his time between personal clients and coaching and training to the corporate sector.
